About the Riders of Rohan

The name Riders of Rohan was given to the
mounted army of Rohan by the men of Gondor.
The riders were thought highly of in both Gondor
and Rohan. they were not in the permanent army,
but spent much of their time as protectors and
trainers of the great horses of Rohan. It took
many days to gather the Rohhirim in times of war.
The weapons they used were mainly long spear and
swords but some also had bows. They were
Rohan's greatest advantage in war and the
men of the Rohhirim dedicated their lives to
their country.
